uli langthaler<\/span><\/strong> was born 1959 in Linz, Austria. He studied bass with Rudolf Hansen at the Conservatory\/Private Music University of Vienna.<\/p>\n

From 1987 to 1991 he was a member of the \u201cOrchester der Vereinigten B\u00fchnen Wien\u201c, the orchestra of all major music productions in Viennese theaters.<\/p>\n

uli langthaler<\/span><\/strong> has played with Joe Zawinul, Richard \u00d6sterreicher Big Band, Vienna Big Band Machine, HR Bigband, Karl Ratzer, Roland Neuwirth, Leo Wright, Ronny Bourage, Billy Harper, Lev Tabakin, Mike Stern, Frank Gambale, Harri Stojka Express, Ack van Royen, Philip Catherine, Wayne Brasel, Timna Brauer, Rens Niewland, Colours’ N’ People, Coolinger, Heinz v. Hermann Trio and Quintett, Concert Jazz Orchestra Vienna, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Robert Bachner Quintett, Thomas Gansch, Wolfgang Puschnig, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Don Menza, Dusko Goykovich, Ferdinand Povel, Red Holloway, Warren Vach\u00e9, Jimmy Cobb\u2026<\/p>\n

Since 2008 uli langthaler<\/span><\/strong> has led the ensemble “Kent Langthaler 7”, a band consisting of a rhythm section and four horn players.<\/p>\n

In 2010 he co-founded triple ace<\/span><\/strong> – colours in jazz<\/em><\/span> \u00a0together with oliver kent<\/span><\/strong> and dusan novakov<\/span><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Teaching:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since 1990 uli langthaler <\/span><\/strong>has taught jazz bass, ensemble and improvisation at the Conservatory\/Private Music University of Vienna and at the Music Conservatory of Carinthia.<\/p>\n
